The man convicted in a 13-year-old murder case went before a judge Wednesday in a parole hearing.

Kerry Porter is in prison for the death of Tyrone Camp. Camp was shot and killed while getting ready for work at Active Transportation in December of 1996.

Porter’s currently serving a 60 year sentence at the Eastern Kentucky correctional complex.

He has applied for the Innocence Project, a program geared toward clearing people of wrong doing. So far the Innocence Project has not filed anything on Porter's behalf.
